People want to know more about global political and social trends. They want to understand where the conflict comes from, whether the cause is economical or merely linked to human nature.

Greek tragedy is still underlying the drama in the stories, but the latter need to be illustrated by what goes on in the world today and not only in Europe or in the United States.

What better than cinema could channel all these ingredients into a worthwhile emotional and intellectual experience?

Our films should be testimonies of our times helping us to understand who we are and what we do.

The first feature film Pasmania plans to produce is “Shooting Star, Bewitched and Superpower”. This historical drama tells the story of three Liberian children torn apart by war. It shows how humanity can disappear and reappear, how children can adapt to their environment and what the repercussions are on their lives. Most of all, the film brings a message of hope when all the media ever shows is devastation.

Writer / director Klaus Pas has written a first draft of the script and has travelled to Liberia in 2007 to further document his research. The story focuses on human drama and is in the process of gaining a more developed political background. We are currently looking for the financing of the feature film, which could be around 110 minutes in length and be shot on location in Liberia.

The screenplay is available upon request. It is registered with the Writers Guild of America and the French Societé des Auteurs et Compositeurs Dramatiques.
