In his preparation of a two months research trip to Liberia, director Klaus Pas decided to shoot a 90 minutes documentary about former children associated with fighting forces, highlighting their day to day difficulties in reintegrating the post-war society.
Thus, he came up with a narrative structure for “Back to Christopolis”, which starts out with discussions in the outskirts of Paris only to reach central Monrovia, gradually drawing the portrait of three former CAFF's (children associated with fighting forces) struggling in different ways to find a place, a family and self-esteem. The crew recently came back from Liberia and the film is being edited by Charlène Gravel in Paris.
